We seek funding for our 10 exclusive brand outlets currently operating in India.


Life style brand covering the complete human anatomy product categories & fashion accessories.

The brand will have two operational formats;

Harbour News Stores:

The store will showcase the HN brand high quality products like Shirts, Trousers, Jeans, T-shirts, Premium export quality products sourced at low price and sold at low MRP's than other stores in the Market. Complete range of accessories like Belts & Wallets, Body spray & perfumes, Eye wears & a complete Body care brand. The HN stores will be opened at all major cities & towns across the country. The HN stores will be opened with proper roi workings at best & innovative markets. Each HN store can generate a business of 5 -30 lakhs.

Harbour News Brand:

High quality HN brand products like Shirts, Jeans, Trousers & T-Shirts will be sold at all multi-brand outlets across the country. These mbo's will be service by company appointed Distributors/Consignee agents. The company will appoint Distributors/Consignee agents at all states, each state will have 3-5 Distributors/Consignee agents depending on the size of the market. Each agent can achieve a business of 5-25 lakhs per month. The season products, promotions & support will be well planned in advance and executed by the company.

LAUNCH : January 2010.
First Phase (Till March 10): Fifteen complete operational stores and 5 distributors for HN brand with a turnover of 1 cr per month by March end.


A sole merchandiser to plan and execute the products collection wise. Collection turnaround will be sixty days (new products will be sold at MRP for 2 months & one month offer) there will be 4 collections in a year. For the HN stores the export quality products will be covered like Jeans, trousers, shirts, T-Shirts, footwear, accessories, kurtis, etc. In a year there will be 3 seasons (4 months each season) for the products. The category wise production for each season will be done as per the business plan numbers. The designers will plan each season & also advice the VM theme for each season. The number of styles/products planned in each season will be shown to the Distributors/Consignee agents for advance booking; as per the qty booked by agent and qty planned for each HN store the products will be sourced.

Store roll outs;
The store retailer formats are below. (Store size of 500 to 1500 sq.ft)
Metros, Malls & B Cities:
Complete interior by retailer.

  1. Complete expenses by retailer - margin 25%-Stock Security 7lac.
  2. Rent by company, expense by retailer - 15%- Stock security 10lac.
  3. Complete expense by company - 5%- stock security-10-15lacs.

C Cities & Towns:
Complete interior by retailer.
Complete expenses by retailer - margin 23-25%-Stock Security 3-7lac.

Distributors/Consignee agents:
3-5 Distributors/consignee agents per state. The agents will supply goods to retailers. The retailer's margin will be between 25% - 35%. The agents commission will be 8-12% on the stock transfer price.


Business Head: Will be responsible for the complete growth & development of the brand; the complete sales & operations will be monitored by the person.

Merchandiser/Product Manager: will plan the complete product for each season along with designers as per trend forecast; have to procure the products & timely delivery of goods as per plan. 2-3 quality controllers will be working under the person.

Design team: Forecast of the fashion, design product for each season. Make range catalog for each season for the Distributors/Consignee agents. Logistic: One logistic in-charge and 2 helpers; receive goods and dispatch to stores & Distributors/Consignee agents.

Accounts: One in-charge & one assistant; they will monitor the complete Distributors/Consignee agents & stores accounts. EBO cash flow will be monitored on daily basis. Month end pay-outs like salaries, vendor payments, store commissions, tax reimbursements, etc.

Backend executive: Stock coordination, Promo related discounts to be checked and approved every month end, Execution of corporate orders, Manage stock at showroom less than 60 days Vs sales at consignment outlets, Stock Analysis : best selling & slow moving management, Stock planning for promos & discount sales, Daily sale data to management; monthly p/l report to retail team, Co-ordination for new showroom openings & new Distributors/Consignee agents launch. Coordinate with merchandisers for new goods in-ward, etc. Manage the implementation of operation software at stores & backend.

Executives - Field: Coordinate with showrooms & retailers and book orders on daily basis and ensure smooth running of the business in the territory, Staff appointment, staff grooming, discipline maintenance, Exterior of the store, cleanliness of front glass, steps, signage, Staff motivation, Maintain strict discipline in store timings, Ensure all the stocks planned for the outlet available in full sets & displayed as plan. Help showroom & retailers to order the right products, Ensure daily payments from consignment stores & Distributors/Consignee agents, ensure targets of the territory are achieved, Regular feedback to Merchandise & backend on consumer requirements. Constant feedback to improve sale at the territory. Advance stock and promo planning before any regional festival & events. Local btl activities. Ensure VM & displays as per plan. Maintain good relation with Franchisee & retailers , ensure all day-to-day issues solved.Co-ordinate with accounts team for timely commission cheques. Get leads and open new showrooms and new retailers in prominent & new markets.

Executive -Training: Create/Compile training manuals. Train the showroom staff on products, selling techniques, grooming, discipline, maintenance, store cleanliness, store timings, Operations, etc. Thrive to achieve profitability of the stores. Ensure to achieve store targets through effective & consistent training. Ensure high standard of Customer service & hygiene environment at the stores throughout.

Interior: A dedicated architect outsourced to execute the HN store interiors.
